Gonzo’s Quest is an exciting video slot machine game that is based on the fascination that the Spanish conquistadors have with the lost city of gold, Eldorado. The game opens with a movie quality introduction that shows players Gonzo is a conquistador. As the game’s main character Gonzo embarks on a quest; the purpose of which is to search the South African jungles in the hopes of finding Eldorado.

3D Animation

3D animation is used to bring this game to life on the screen. While there are no spinning reels in the game, as there are in most other slot machines, the symbols simply fall into the position they are set to be in. When a row of three to five matching symbols results in a winning bet line the symbols explode, activating the game’s avalanche feature. For the duration of the time that there are any winning combinations on the screen the games’ other symbols are fixed into their positions.

Wild and Scatter symbols

The wild symbol in this game is a question mark that can be substituted for any other symbol in the game. Unlike many slot machines Gonzo’s Quest has no scatter symbol.

The two bonus features in the game are free falls and multipliers. When players get at least three of the free fall symbols on the screen at once they get 10 free falls, otherwise known as the game’s bonus rounds. During this round players can accumulate more free falls. The game’s pay table remains the same for the duration of this feature. The multipliers come into play during the free falls feature. Every time a new avalanche occurs the multiplier makes a player’s winnings even bigger. The first avalanche gets a one times multiplier and for the fourth or higher avalanche the multiplier gives players up to five times the amount in cash prizes.

Mulipliers

When multipliers are used during the free falls feature it is even more beneficial to players. Instead of rewarding them with one times the amount they would have won on the very first free fall the multiplier triples their winnings. By the time a player gets their fourth free fall they get 15 times the amount they would have otherwise.
